Markitos Toys was founded in the 1980s by a group of toy enthusiasts who wanted to create a line of collectible toys that would bring back memories of childhood play. The company's first product was a retro robot named Puro MT, which was designed to look like a classic toy from the 1950s. Puro MT was an instant hit, and soon became the flagship product of the Markitos Toys brand.
